About Madeleine Harvey

Madeleine Harvey

Her Story

Madeleine’s journey with voice began like many others – with a dream. At the age of 12, she had high hopes of making it BIG and began working with a voice teacher.

After years of classical training, hard work and practice, she became incredibly frustrated with her results. Her performances were too controlled and emotionless. She’d lost all the personality of her voice and substituted it with “classical technique”. Worst of all, she still had all the same issues she started with so many years ago – a struggle with breathing, lack of range/power and a very pronounced break.

She was not alone. Everyone she spoke with seemed to suffer from similar issues. It broke her heart to see people in the industry with so much love and ambition give up on themselves because of lack of confidence in their ability. Fixed on finding a solution, Madeleine set out to develop a program that allowed anyone, regardless of ability or experience level, to achieve their highest vocal potential.

“It’s not about being the BEST, it’s about being YOU-nique.”

Her Program

Madeleine Harvey’s program keeps it simple. You’ll start by learning the most basic functions of voice and how it works. You’ll focus on identifying and releasing behaviours blocking your progress, and installing new behaviors that will contribute to a strong, healthy, free instrument.

“I love empowering artists to take control of their own progress by showing them
how to embrace themselves through music and how to love their vocal journey.”

Madeleine is known for her energetic, encouraging approach; her compassionate, thorough explanations; and her intuitive ear for the singer’s natural abilities. She spends her time teaching privately to aspiring artists and professionals from her home studio in West Palm Beach, FL.

Her Experience

Madeleine graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) of New York City in 2003. She went on to work with the Broadway Dance Center and study at the New York Film Academy. For the last five years she has been performing in Southeast Florida and helping people – like you – fall in love with their own voice.

She is an active member of the Florida Professional Theatre Association and the Theatre League of South Florida.

Her Clients

Her students range in age, level and ability. Some are signed artists, professional singers, actors and live performers and some are up-and-comers.
